The National Mining Museum, located within the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Tarkwa, stands as one of Imperial Homes Construction’s flagship institutional projects. Designed as a national landmark, the museum will celebrate Ghana’s proud mining heritage — particularly Tarkwa’s legacy as the heart of gold exploration — while advancing education, research, and sustainable development in the extractive sector.
Occupying a 16,300m² site, the development features a state-of-the-art museum complex with exhibition halls, a study and research centre, a simulation room, a conference hall, a restaurant, and supporting administrative and utility facilities.
The project also includes entry and exit roads, landscaped outdoor areas, visitor and executive parking, and a secured access point, all integrated into a modern, eco-friendly design. Through this initiative, Imperial Homes is helping to create a national hub for learning, tourism, and innovation, blending architectural excellence with sustainability to deliver a world-class cultural destination for Ghana and beyond.
